There's not much more to say in summary of myself. Those five characteristics say it all. My stories may be told in various media be it poetry, prose, digital painting, photography, etc. I work very hard at not losing the 'childlike innocence' that allows me to view the world as a place filled with magic and spirit. That doesn't mean I can't be as cynical and snarky as the next person -- perhaps moreso as those moods fall most often when I had the veil of wonder lifted to remind me the world has a dark side too. In a way, I am just a little girl who never stopped playing with dolls and imaginary friends.
My first loves are information, writing, art, and music, all of which are liberally sprinkled throughout this journal. I find inspiration in the quotes, photos, and art of others, which I will often share as well. Rants, stories of my life, many things you will find here are of a personal nature. These are my personal opinions and thoughts; I will not begrudge you yours, only ask you respect mine as such.
Because of the personal nature of some postings and the detailed information about my life that is often revealed, this journal is locked to Friends Only. I am, however, open to meeting new friends and allowing others into my world. I am merely a bit selective. You can find my friending policy on this post.
Unfortunately, I do not always have a lot of time to write the thoughtful comments I'd like to, sometimes not even enough to comment at all. I do read all posts that come across my friends' page, however, and will think good thoughts and love at any who need it, even if I can't comment. Generally, I'll only comment on a post if I have something to actually contribute, although sometimes that may just be hugs and love.
In February of 2008, I finally created an account on Second Life® after looking at the site for months, trying to decide if I wanted to get involved there. My presence there is an odd sort of reality and roleplay that, honestly, is still the entirety of me. After several false starts, I have finally begun to settle and find a community I enjoy being a part of in the land of Caledon. I'm still looking for a purpose in some aspects, in others I've found my 'place'.
My friends in Second Life are welcome to friend me here, as I do occasionally discuss happenings there. But there is no fourth wall to my Second Life. It is shaped and much influenced by my First Life.
